Motorola has announced its latest smartphone in the budget category from the Moto E series. The phone the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus have features such as a massive battery and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Moto E5 comes at a price of Rs 9,999 and the Moto E5 Plus comes at a price of Rs 13,999.
Both the Moto smartphone comes with all the requisite features one would expect from a generic smartphone. However, the Moto E5 and the Moto E5 Plus differ in terms of a few features, such as display, internal hardware and battery backup. Let us look at both the Moto E5 smartphones again and check which one would be the best.
Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus: Display and Design
Both of the smartphone, the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus look the same from the front. However, the difference can be seen in the back. While the Moto E5 sports the simple back panel, the Moto E5 Plus flaunts a 3D Polymer Glass Panel. The back panel sported by the Moto E5 Plus looks similar to the Moto G6 which debuted in India in May with a price of Rs 13,999.
The Moto E5 Plus sports a dial-shaped camera at the back with the Motorola batwing logo imprinted on the back where the rear fingerprint sensor is present. The camera sensor’s design is similar to the one we have on the Moto X4 series. Both the phone the E5 and E5 Plus have splash resistant nano-coating at the back, but the fact is that they are not completely water resistant.
In terms of display, the Moto E5 sports the 5.7-inch Max Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Moto E5 Plus sports the 6-inch Max Vision IPS LCD Display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
Camera And Software
At the back the Moto E5 sports a 13MP camera unit while on the front the phone sports a 5MP camera with selfie light to capture better pictures. Meanwhile, on the Moto E5 Plus the camera at the back is a 12MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, laser AF and LED flash. Upfront it has a 8MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and selfie flash.
On the front, both the cameras run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Processor, RAM and storage
On the processor front the Moto E5 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz, while the Moto E5 Plus sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The processor is paired with Graphics Adreno 505 GPU for better rendition. The Moto E5 comes with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of Internal storage with an expandable memory slot upto 128GB. The Moto E5 Plus comes with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with an expandable memory slot upto 128GB.
The Moto E5 comes with a massive 4,000 mAh battery while the Moto E5 Plus comes with a 5,000 mAh battery pack. The battery supports the propreity Turbocharging technology and bundle a 10W battery charger.
